About Anthony

I’m Anthony, founder of Hudson Valley Mental Performance. My background in psychology and sport psychology has given me the opportunity to work with athletes, teams, and high performers navigating everything from confidence and performance anxiety to perfectionism, injury, motivation, and the pressure that comes with pursuing meaningful goals.

My approach is built around a simple idea: train your mind like a muscle, while also learning when to let go.

Mental performance isn’t about becoming mentally tougher by forcing away nerves, doubt, frustration, or negative thoughts. In fact, trying to control everything happening in our minds can often make performing more difficult. Drawing heavily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help people strengthen skills such as confidence, focus, resilience, and present-moment awareness while learning to make room for the thoughts and emotions they can’t control.

Ultimately, I want the people I work with to spend less energy fighting what is happening inside their minds and more energy becoming the athlete, performer, or person they want to be.

Train what you can. Let go of what you can’t. Perform with purpose.
